How to Measure Your Foot
  1. Place a blank sheet of paper on a hard floor against a wall.
  2. Stand on the paper with your heel lightly touching the wall.
  3. Mark the longest part of your foot (usually the big toe) with a pen.
  4. Measure the distance from the edge of the paper (wall) to the mark in inches or centimeters.
  5. Repeat for the other foot and use the larger measurement.

On one hand: I love these boots! The sole is flexible with a slight amount of cushion. The toe box is wide enough to spread out. The leather is soft enough to flex. The elastic feels resilient. The shade of brown matches most of my outfits. I previously wore Blundstones, and these are much, much more comfortable. However, the sizing of these boots is weird. I'm normally a size 11 in all shoes, but the site said to purchase half a size bigger, so I did. The boots do fit with lightweight socks, but they probably wouldn't fit with winter socks. Increasing by half a size would probably make them too big. I would try the Tuff version of these boots, but the only brown ones offered have fur on the inside, which is also strange. I wish Lems would work out their sizing and colorways so that I could more readily recommend their boots.

Daily wear most of the year. Can be a little too warm on hot days. Everything from running errands to farm work. I wish the tread was a little more robust - after about a year I found I would slip easily on mud or ice. I tried to get them resoled but the shoe repair guy couldn’t do quite what I asked for. I “upgraded” to the tough chelseas but they’re not as wide even though they claim to be also “widest fit” - i had to use a shoe stretched a lot just to get them close to comfy. I think I’m going to give those away and get another pair of these.
